It is positioned on Porthmadog Golf Course above the Powder House on the Glaslyn Estuary. We are grateful to the National Trust who own the land, and the Golf Club who have been so supportive in allowing us to site the Station where it overlooks the area of water which results in the highest number of RNLI rescues in North Wales.
Listed with Boatshed Newport, this Sea Ray 40 Motor Yacht is a beauty. She is limited in production and very hard to find on the market for her age and meticulous condition.
As brokers we often face some interesting challenges when negotiating the sale of a boat that makes our job all the more interesting. Recently Boatshed Dartmouth broker, Paul Singer, received an enquiry from a customer in Libya enquiring about a Galeon Galia on brokerage and in dry store with Ocean Leisure Storage. The purchase of the boat and transfer of funds was all successfully handled and then the challenge was getting the boat from Devon to Libya.

Nobody knows the importance of having the right safety equipment onboard better than our own Directors, Neil and Mandy Chapman, they were rescued by the RNLI in the Bay of Biscay in October 1998 when their boat rolled 360 degrees, this was a life changing experience for Neil and Mandy who fortunately did have the correct safety equipment and who credit the event as being responsible for the creation of Boatshed.

The trading boats have now gathered at Mile End on the Regent’s Canal in London creating a most unusual market. Strangely reminiscent of Neil Gaiman’s floating market, (featured in the 1996 urban fantasy TV series Neverwhere,) it is a vibrant and colourful place. This is all part of the changes to London’s canals during the period of the Olympics.
